I use VMware for Linux 2.03 and I'm using this ad-hoc patch to boot
experimental kernels with Netboot.

BTW: I configure the serial ports of the virtual machine COM1 to
connect TTY /dev/ptyq0 and use `cu -l /dev/ttyq0' in xterm to connect
to the virtual machine.
