FIVE PUBLISHERS JOIN ELECTRONIC ARTS' AFFILIATED LABEL PROGRAM

CHICAGO, IL June 3, 1993 -- Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS), a leader in
bringing interactive entertainment into the home, has expanded its
Affiliated Label program. The addition of the following five publishers
gives Electronic Arts a strong position in the distribution of third-party
multimedia software, the company announced today.

Electronic Arts continues to be committed to building the affiliated label
business to complement its existing products and brands. Currently, the
Affiliated Label business is focused on the growing multimedia market, or
CD-ROM products. The five publishers pining the Electronic Arts Affiliated
Label program are Aris Multimedia Entertainment Inc., Mindplay, Morgan
Interactive, Multicom Publishing, and Twin Dolphin Games Inc. All five are
either already publishers of CD-ROM software or they are in the process of
moving into this new market.

"We are working with retailers to develop this expanding market of CD-ROM
multimedia. With the alliance of these five publishers, Electronic Arts
and its affiliated publishers are leaders in interactive entertainment,"
said Nancy Smith, vice president of sales.

ahead and presenting the best of the independent publishers through the
broadest retail channel possible," said Kelb Conway, director of
affiliated labels. "By joining the Electronic Arts Affiliated Label
program, these publishers have added products to our catalog that
complement and expand our current Affiliated Label CD-ROM product line,
launch us into the infotainment market, and enhance our position in
educational entertainment."

A brief sketch of each of the publishers follows:

* Aris Multimedia Entertainment Inc, founded 1991, is regarded as a pioneer
in electronic publishing and CD-ROM software development. Aris has
consistently had titles in the top 10 multimedia CD-ROM category. Product
plans for '93 include expanding into the entertainment market with the
release of e-World and Video Cube product lines.

* Mindplay is a seven-year old division of the thirteen-year old
company--Methods & Solutions, a leading developer of educational and
entertainment titles for CD-ROM, Macintosh, and MS-DOS. Mindplay supports
learning through discovery, outstanding graphics, and animation--along
with solid educational presentation.

* Morgan Interactive believes in educating through entertainment. With this
in mind, it produces CD-ROM titles focusing on creative elements including
animation, music, and writing. The company is currently producing several
series of edutainment products utilizing a family of original characters,
high-quality animation, original songs, and extensive sound effects.

* Multicom Publishing is a leading creator of interactive CD-ROM
entertainment, special interest, educational, and reference software
Multicom brings superb titles from publishers such as Better Homes and
Gardens, and Simon & Schuster to life with video, audio, animation,
photographs, and text. Multicom Publishing has produced high-quality
multimedia software since 1991.

* Twin Dolphin Games Inc. is a developer and publisher of recreational
software for personal computer and other emerging-delivery system. This
fall it will release Forgotten Castle: The Awakening, a role-playing
adventure set in dungeons beneath a fantastic medieval castle. In addition
to Forgotten Castle, Twin Dolphin will be releasing three fun and
challenging windows games this fall.

Current members of Electronic Arts' Affiliated Label program include Ebook,
Inc., Humongous Entertainment, Inc., ICOM Simulations, Inc., Mindcraft
Software Inc., NovaLogic, Inc., Pop Rocket, Inc., Sanctuary Woods
Multimedia Corp., Strategic Simulations, Inc., Three-Sixty Pacific, Inc.,
and Zelos Ventures Inc. With this expansion, Electronic Arts is
distributing products for 15 affiliated publishers developing quality
titles for the IBM PC, Macintosh, CD-ROM, and the soon-to-be released 3DO
system.
