Greyhound - the safest be in racing history

Greyhound is a gmae for all gamblers and greyhound lovers everywhere.
Managing a greyhound kennel may not be what you've always dreamed of, but
after playing this game you might just change your mind...

In Greyhound you are the owner of a greyhound kennel. You both own and
train the dogs, as well as being in charge of the kennel finances. The
object is to use your skill and judgement to compete against other kennels
and ultimately win the Championship and the Trophy at the end of each
season.

If you like betting then Greyhound is for you: there are around 60 races
per week in which you can win lots of money. And with 12 types of bet,
ranging from win, place, forecasts and trios, you just can't lose (and
pigs fly, etc.).

Greyhound takes you through all the sorrows and joys of owning and training
racing greyhounds and the ecstasy of winning and the agony of losing large
sums of money! You train your dogs, enter them for races, bet on them, and
watch them run. You have to deal with injuries (short, long-term and
career-halting) and fluctuating form. You have to decide whether you can
afford to place a bet on your untried pup, or whether you can affort not
to!

For statistics buffs, Greyhound is a must. It offers more facts and figures
than any of our other games. Stats can all be sorted in various ways:
wins, prize money, strike rate, best times (sprint, standard and distance)
and average finishing position; listings can be shown for your own kennel,
any particular grade, all grades or trainers. All stats can be easily
printed out.

You can watch all the races, or just your own, or even just get the
results.

You can buy puppies and watch them rise from the depths of grade 10 to the
heights (and huge prize money) of grade 1. If you manage your finances
wisely you should have enough money to go to auction races and buy
yourself a proven racer; but, if you're not careful, you might be forced
into selling your best dog just to stay solvent.

As you might expect, Greyhound comes complete with save/load facilities,
online help, a permanent "alter dog and trainer names" utility and of
course if at first you don't succeed (or even if you do succeed and want
to repeat the experience) you can play on for year after year until you
finally win the championship!

Shareware registration is $20 for Greyhound, $25 for Greyhound 2, or $30
for both.
