JUNGLE STRIKE
THE SEQUEL TO DESERT STRIKE FOR THE SEGA GENESIS

CHICAGO, IL, JUNE 3, 1993 - Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) has announced the
release of Jungle Strike the much anticipated Sega Genesis sequel to
Desert Strike. Available in July, Jungle Strike will be priced at $59.95.

The son of the Madman deposed in Desert Strike, has emerged with a
vengeance, eager to seek revenge for his father's death. EA Air Force
needs an expert pilot once again to save the world from total destruction.
Will the hero of Desert Strike emerge from retirement and grab his helmet
in preparation for battle?

With no military force left, the son of the madman has enlisted the help of
a powerful South American drug lord, who commands the world's largest
private army. Together, they plot to build nuclear weapons and to destroy
Washington, DC.

Jungle Strike offers fast arcade action, with the realism and depth of a
simulation. The player now commands a Super Comanche helicopter, which is
faster and better armored than the previous Apache. New vehicles include a
Stealth Fighter, Attack Hovercraft, and Special Forces Motorcycle. The
player must obliterate the enemy's mobile radar tanks, stolen patriot
missile launchers, command centers, and drug smuggling speed boats, in a
variety of locales and conditions including rivers, jungles, cities,
desert, and snow - with this new arsenal of weapons.

The player must take out the son of the vicious madman and complete nine
intricate campaigns. Each campaign involves several dangerous missions
that take place by both day and night and are best accomplished in a
logical sequence. Success is mandatory; all the missions must be
accomplished in all the campaigns before the location of the madman and
drug lord is revealed. The player must rescue hostages, capture
commanders, and recover stolen nuclear weapons while defeating the drug
lord's army. The terrain is alive with new enemies such as stolen Patriot
Missile Launchers, ground weapons that move and shoot at the same time,
and enemy choppers that actually hunt the player down.

This is a solo, clandestine operation with no back-ups. Success depends on
the player and the copilot. The new Super Comanche helicopter and other
vehicles are equipped with an onboard battle map to help plot attack
routes, and a flight recorder keeps track of your status throughout each
campaign. The player begins with a full tank of gas and a full load of
weapons, but supplies run out fast and become more and more scarce as the
campaigns progress.
