Morph OnLine Turns On

Electronic BBS Connects Multimedia Developers

September 17, 1993 -- ORINDA, Calif. -- Multimedia developers can now get
the latest news, tips, and job information via their desktop with the
introduction of Morph OnLine, an on-line service designed to supplement
Morph's Outpost on the Digital Frontier, the technical magazine for
multimedia professionals published by Morph's Outpost, Inc.

"The response to the premier issue of Morph's Outpost on the Digital
Frontier has been tremendous," said Doug Millison, Editor-in-Chief. "We
are helping the professional community of multimedia developers get the
technical information they need to create their art. Morph Online extends
the monthly magazine and gives these developers a way to communicate with
each other and stay up-to-date on the issues that are important to them."

Morph Online allows developers to share information, ideas, and provide a
place to "hang out" as they navigate the uncharted regions of the digital
frontier. Each department of Morph's Outpost on the Digital Frontier is
expanded, and users can talk with the editors and writers of the magazine.
The service is provided at no cost for developers, although telephone toll
charges apply. Users can log on to Morph OnLine by dialing (510) 254-4554.
Internet users can reach Morph OnLine by addressing messages to Morph's
Outpost on the Digital Frontier staffers or contributors using the format:
name@morph.com.

Exclusively targeted for the fast-growing group of multimedia trade
professionals, Morph's Outpost on the Digital Frontier covers the
technical news, tools, and technologies crucial to the growth of
multimedia. Each issue of the magazine features in-depth interviews with
leaders of the multimedia industry, hardware and software reviews,
workshops on scripting and programming techniques, and columns from
leading industry innovators.

Mailed on a "first issue free" basis to 25,000 multimedia developers
worldwide each month, Morph's Outpost on the Digital Frontier is also
distributed at all the important multimedia industry trade shows free of
charge. 5,000 issues were given away at the Business Software Solutions
'93 conference. 10,000 issues were handed out at SIGGRAPH '93 and 5,000
distributed to various registered developers of multimedia authoring
tools.

The one-year subscription price is $39.95, and the single issue copy price
is $3.95. The one-time, black-and-white advertising page charge is $2,500,
and the deadline for advertising space reservations for the November issue
is October 1, 1993.
