Microsoft Selects NetSoft as 3270 Applet Provider.

NetSoft's New 3270 Applet Well Received by 700 Beta Users of SNA Server for
Windows NT.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA, September 8, 1993 -- NetSoft reported today that its new
3270 PC-to-host emulation applet has been well received by the 700 beta
users of Microsoft's SNA Server for Windows NT. NetSoft also announced
that it has been selected by Microsoft as a strategic software development
partner to provide key software technology for the SNA Server.

Microsoft's SNA Server provides Windows and Windows NT users with seamless
access to IBM mainframes. The 3270 applet is a specially-designed,
simplified, 3270 emulator bundled by Microsoft with the SNA Server for the
next six months. Developed by NetSoft, the 3270 applet provides 3270
emulation services for both 16-bit Windows and 32-bit Windows NT clients
connected to the SNA Server. The applet emulates an IBM 3278 display
station, supporting one host session, Windows copy and paste functions,
and host file transfer facilities.

"We feel that Microsoft's SNA Server will emerge as a very important piece
of the SNA enterprise networking system," said Raymond Chan, NetSoft's
vice president of business development. "Up to 90% of installed SNA
Servers for Windows NT will connect to IBM mainframes. We believe that our
3270 applet will provide Windows and Windows NT users with an excellent
connectivity solution."

"NetSoft has proven to be an outstanding working partner," said Vesa
Suomalainen, Microsoft's product line manager for IBM connectivity.
"Microsoft increasingly wants to work with partners who complement our
work. Our relationship with NetSoft is a prime example of this. We chose
NetSoft because of their extensive SNA and Windows experience."

In related news, NetSoft disclosed that its future product plans involve a
number of new connectivity products for both Windows and Windows NT. "We
will be announcing a full-capability 3270 emulator for Windows NT in the
near future," said Gene Ousey, NetSoft's product line manager for
PC-to-mainframe products. "This new product, coupled with our existing
Windows solutions for 3270 PC-to-mainframe and 5250 PC-to-AS/400 access,
will provide ideal upgrade paths for Windows users who like the 3270
applet in SNA Server, but want to move up to more feature-rich
connectivity packages."

Founded in 1980, NetSoft is an industry pioneer in PC-to-host technology.
The company was the first to develop an asynchronous connectivity solution
for Windows-to-mainframe access, and the first to develop a
Windows-to-AS/400 solution that eliminates the need for IBM's PC
Support/400 software.

NetSoft recently unveiled its third-generation New Systems (NS/)
technology, and introduced its first NS product, the NS/Router. The
NS/Router is the first Windows-based APPC client/server protocol engine
for PC-to-AS/400 access across LANs and WANs.

NetSoft (formerly Network Software Associates) offers a comprehensive
family of PC-to-host products, including 3270, 5250, APPC, RJE and LU0
connectivity solutions for MS-DOS, Windows and Windows NT. NetSoft is
headquartered at 39 Argonaut, Laguna Hills, CA 92656. Phone: (714)
