New Game from Karen Crowther to be Published by MVP Software

Pickle Wars, Karen Crowther's whimsical new arcade/adventure game, will be
released as an MVP Software product, announced David C. Snyder, President
of MVP Software. Pickle Wars is the story of the peaceful planet of
Arcadia, whose idyllic residents are now threatened by the big bad green
Pickle race from a nearby galaxy. The game details the saga of the hero
and heroine as they thwart the plans of the invaders and at the same time
discover that there's more to life than fighting Pickles.

Besides the riveting storyline, Pickle Wars features 256-color, dual
parallax, 4-way scrolling action, georgeous cinematic sequences, humor and
a lively musical score. "Karen has put together a development team of some
of the best writers, artists and musicians in the industry," said Dave
Snyder. "We are pleased that she has chosen MVP as the publisher for this
terrific new game."

Karen Crowther is the author of well-known educational games such as
Talking ABCs, Word Rescue and Math Rescue. Although the emphasis in Pickle
Wars is on telling a story and providing entertainment rather than
learning, the elements of her earlier products that her fans now expect --
endearing animation, nonviolent action, and attention to detail -- grace
her latest effort as well. "Add these features to the powerful new VGA
game engine Karen has developed, and the combination makes Pickle Wars a
surefire winner and a lot of fun," said Snyder.

Asked why she chose MVP as the publisher of Pickle Wars instead of Apogee,
the publisher of the Rescue games, Crowther said, "I am very pleased with
my association with Apogee. I chose MVP because I felt Pickle Wars would
benefit from being an MVP product, but this does not mean that in the
future I won't work with Apogee again. I approach each project on a
case-by-case basis, and in fact I regularly work with publishers other
than Apogee and MVP. I guess that's just the benefit of being an
independent developer."

Although no release date has been set for Pickle Wars, Snyder anticipates
that the product will debut in early 1994. Volume 1 will be available as
shareware on BBSs and through disk vendors.

MVP Software is a developer and publisher of shareware and retail
entertainment software products. Its titles include the award-winning
Corncob 3D, Sand Storm and MVP Paint.
