Worlds Fastest Sorting Program is Ported to OS/2.

SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA -- Robert Ramey Software Development version 2.23
of the Postman's Sort for Microsoft OS/2.

OS/2 users and developers with the need to sort large amounts of data can
now use the worlds fastest known sorting program. The program operates in
the OS/2 command line environment as is functionally identical to its DOS
relative.

This means that end users and developers can use the same high performance
across DOS, WINDOWS, and OS/2 with little or no changes in functionality
or usage. The standard Postman's Sort Developer's Kit included all three
versions.

Sorting is the ordering of records within a file by date, name, zip code,
account or some other piece of data. It is used by almost all commercial
applications such as preparing bank statements, accounting reports,
mailing lists, phone books, etc. and is an integral part of all data base
systems.

It is widely believed that the time required to sort records in a file must
increase disproportionately to size of the file. An article in August '92
C Users Journal demonstrated a sorting program for which the sorting time
would be strictly proportional to the file size. The Postman's Sort for
OS/2 implements this program in the OS/2 Environment.

The program is called the Postman's Sort because it uses a method of
sorting records similar to that used by post offices.
