SSI Unveils Three New Game Titles at Summer CES '93
D&D STRONGHOLD, D&D FANTASY EMPIRE and ARCHON ULTRA

CHICAGO, IL--June 3, 1993 -- Strategic Simulations, Inc., a leader in the
computer game market for more than a decade, introduces some of its most
advanced simulation products ever at the International Summer Consumer
Electronics Show. Each game features superior 16-bit graphic displays,
extensive support of the most sophisticated sound cards, excellent game
play, and the detailed simulation SSI players demand.

D&D STRONGHOLD
Strategy Simulation available for the IBM PC in July 1993 $59.95

D&D Game Stronghold is the first kingdom simulator set in the DUNGEONS &
DRAGONS game world. Players battle computer-controlled adversaries to
become Emperor by building and expanding a kingdom while dispatching all
opposing kingdoms. As players construct new structures, the populace and
the kingdom grow stronger.

Factors such as the farmland, population, housing, taxes, and troops must
be dealt with, as well as a multitude of D&D game monsters and changing
seasonal conditions. Stronghold's striking visual presentation includes a
ground-view camera angle that zooms in and out using 3-D scaling
technology. Digitized voices, music, and sound effects heighten the
fantasy mood. The easy-to-use interface features mouse or keyboard
commands, an intuitive movement magnet, and a priority pyramid.

D&D FANTASY EMPIRE
Strategy Action available for the IBM PC in September 1993--$59.95

D&D Game Fantasy Empire features the world's first computer Dungeon Master,
who mediates all elements of game play. As the player seeks to conquer the
D&D world of Mystara, the DM casts spells invoked by the player or even
shows displeasure at the player's style of play. Thanks to superb
animation, 256 color VGA display, and sound effects, the DM literally
comes to life on the screen.

Facing as many as 20 different computer-controlled opponents, the player
interacts with fantastic races, commands dozens of troop types, deploys
special forces, and constructs a variety of buildings.

Extensive character interaction, including treaties, provides for diplomacy
tactics. When combat occurs, the game switches to real-time arcade action
seen from an overhead perspective. Players can choose to control any
character and issue general battle orders.

ARCHON ULTRA
Strategy Action available for the IBM PC in August 1993--$59.95

One of the most popular action/strategy games, Archon, is being redesigned
to take full advantage of today's advance computer technologies. Archon
Ultra by SSI is a complete renovation of the original version, with
state-of-the-art graphics, sound, game play, and feature enhancements.

As either the black side or the white side, players take turns moving
pieces in an attempt to conquer the Archon board by capturing all of the
enemy pieces, or by occupying the five "power points." The fantastic
pieces include Unicorns, Banshees, Dragons, Basilisks, and Golems, each
rated for different abilities. The crisp 3-D view of the board is smoothly
animated in 256 color VGA graphics.

When conflict occurs, Archon Ultra switches from the strategic view to a
fast paced, arcade-style combat sequence. Players can choose to control
all elements of the game or just play certain segments. A continuous music
score and sound effects provide audio excitement. The game is designed for
one or two players and can be played with mouse, joystick, or keyboard.

D&D Stronghold, D&D Fantasy Empire and Archon Ultra are distributed
exclusively in North America by Electronic Arts Distribution under its
Affiliated Label program.
