MultiFAX has announced that it has begun shipping it's newest product, an
external WEFAX demodulator.

The new demodulator can be used anywhere with an IBM Compatible Laptop,
Notebook, or Desktop computer. The MultiFAX external demodulator
interfaces directly through the parallel (printer) port of a portable or
desktop computer. It does not require an internal slot - perfect for
crowded computers or IBM Microchannel PS/2s.

The external unit operates with the same software and retains the same
powerful capabilities as the popular MultiFAX Version 2.2 plug-in card.

The demodulator can be used anywhere that 12 volts is available-boats,
cars, or traveling (perfect for eclipse chasers!). The external unit
maintains all the high resolution (2-3 miles for NOAA satellites) and ease
of use that MultiFAX is known for - no lost image data trying to use the
computer serial port. Accepts ground based HF WEFAX transmissions, NOAA
and Meteor polar orbiting satellites, GOES and METEOSAT geostationary
satellites. The unit is FCC class B certified.

SPECIFICATIONS - Size: 5.5" wide, 1.6" high, 7.7" deep. Case is rugged
extruded aluminum and vinyl clad steel. Weighs just 24 oz (0.67 kg). Color
is light beige. Controls/Inputs/Outputs: Front - On/Off Switch, Input
Level Control. Rear - 12 VDC Input, 25 Pin D-Plug Connector (female), Two
Phono (RCA) Jacks (HF Fax Input, Satellite Input). Six foot shielded
computer interface cable included. Power: External 12 volts DC. 120 volt
