THE PERIODIC TABLE - a window into the world of chemistry

Belmont, CA. October 4 -- This Periodic Table for Windows looks and feels
like the wall mount kin in a Chemistry classroom, with its 109 chemical
elements and titles, and not a stilted computerized version. As the user
moves the mouse over the table and clicks on the "hot spots" over the
titles, more information appears, describing the titles in detail. Then
when the user selects a particular element, not only does the usual
information as atomic number and atomic weight appear, but very detailed
information about the history, spectra, isotopes, compounds, physical
properties, shells and crystalline structures become available. Verbose
selection in the main menu expands the general description of the
elements.

Some Unusual Features of Periodic Table --

1. Emission and Absorption Spectra: Dominant lines in the visible spectrum
and important lines in the infrared and ultraviolet spectrum as well

2. History Narrates the origin and discovery of each element with
interesting tidbits unique to each element

3. Isotopes Shown with its atomic symbol and weight, half-life, percent
abundance of each isotope in nature, and usage

4. "Hot Spots" on Periodic Table Every heading or title of the Periodic
Table is a "hot spot" that the user can click on to get more information
