GENERAL CHUCK YEAGER CO-DESIGNS MACINTOSH GAME

San Mateo, Calif., September 24, 1993--Chuck Yeager--one of the greatest
pilots of all time and the first man to fly faster than the speed of
sound-has teamed up with Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) to design Chuck
Yeager Air Combat for the Apple Macintosh and Powerbook. Electronic Arts'
series of Chuck Yeager products have already sold over 500,000 units
worldwide--Chuck Yeager's Air Combat having proven to be one of the
company's biggest hits to date in the PC marketplace.

General Chuck Yeager's input to the game was crucial to the design team,
who wanted to recreate a wide range of aviation history; highlighting the
exciting progression of air combat from prop-driven aircraft in World War
II to the jet-powered dominance of Korea and finally to the modern-day
guided-missile combat introduced in Vietnam. Yeager serves as co-pilot,
providing instructions and advice before, during and after combat missions
set in these three historic eras of modern air combat.

The player may choose from more than fifty historically-accurate missions.
The option to fly on either side is provided, as is a tactics screen with
combat technique advice from General Yeager himself. Players can also
create flights of fantasy of their own, with the Create Mission option
allowing the mixing and matching of planes from different eras. For the
first time, an F-4 can be flown against a World War 11 Focke-Wulf 190 and
Korean era Mig-15, as well as planes normally allied to its own side.

New to the Macintosh version is a Head-to-Head mode that allows two
competitive gamers to play via network, flying their choice of six
aircraft against each other at chosen altitudes and ranges. Also new is
Campaign mode, which allows the player to act out the career of a pilot
through a series of historical missions in a chosen era. Multiple Monitor
support allows the player to set additional monitors to different views
for dogfighting.

A variety of help features make the game user-friendly for the novice. Four
information windows provide invaluable data on the status of the aircraft,
the enemies in the locality and the combat environment. An 'Envelope
Window' displays accurate flight envelopes drawn up by Yeager, and helps
the player identify when he is pushing the limits of his craft's
performance.

A VCR-style instant replay allows the player to relive past missions, and
re-savor those special moments of aviation victory from a variety of
angles, including the enemy's cockpit! Flight recordings can be saved to
disk and be replayed, or can be saved in Apple's popular QuickTime movie
format.
