How to set up Netscape to browse my FAQ files
---------------------------------------------

First append the relevant FAQ files into a single file. In case of
the TSFAQP Turbo Pascal Frequently Asked collection run ALLFAQP.BAT.
It will build a FAQPAS.TXT file. Move this file to the directory
 Netscape 3+: C:\NETSCAPE\MAIL
 Netscape 4+: C:\NETSCAPE\USERS\myid\MAIL
The FAQPAS.TXT file will now appear as a mail folder to Netscape. To
read it
Netscape 3+: From the Netscape menu: Window | Netscape Mail
 Netscape 4+: Click Netscape Collabra
or Click the mailbox in the lower right corner
or From the Netscape menu: Communicator |
                                      Messenger Mailbox

How to use Unix elm to browse my FAQ files
------------------------------------------

When you have the FAQPAS.TXT (see the previous item) file on your
Unix host, simply type

              elm -f FAQPAS.TXT

How to set up ReadMail to browse my FAQ files
---------------------------------------------

Jeroen Schipper has written his really excellent ReadMail email,
news, and message reader (it is available as from Garbo archives as
ftp://garbo.uwasa.fi/pc/mail/rmail41.zip, or whatever version number
is current). I have written my Frequently Asked Questions files
since in such a format that all the *.txt files included can be read
with ReadMail. Try it on the FAQ files from tsfaqn.zip or
tsfaqp.zip. You'll like it.
When you have gained some familiarity with Readmail, here is the
modify rule to use for browsing my FAQs. It is already there as
modify rule [C] since ReadMail version 3.1. To recount how you can
set the modify rule, first call readmail, then press the F8 key,
then select rule C (or whatever letter is free in the table) by
pressing ALT-C. If you want to change anything, use the cursor keys
to go to the fields, and edit them. Be careful to get the spaces
right. And ascertain that there is no space at the beginning of the
New header description. In the Subject put one space also after Q:.
To edit the editing phase, press the enter key.

  Modify rule [C]

You can alternatively use the Unix mail definition. (See unixelm.inf
for more on this). You might find it to your liking if you have an
access to a Unix host.
