Subject: Mt Xinu Release of Mach Date: Oct, 1991 Author: Mary R. Thompson Mt Xinu is a software company in Berkeley, California with a history of doing commercially supported Unix software. They do source releases of Mach for Sun3, IBM/RT, Vax and I386 machines and a binary release for the I386. Their releases are mostly the same as Mach 2.5 with the addition of newer BSD TCP/IP code and disk labeling. The Unix user environment is an integration of BSD "Tahoe" and CMU functionality. The source release requires recipients to have an AT&T source code license, but they provide NFS licensing. This release is more completely documented and better supported than the CMU releases, but it is not free. Send requests for Mach2.6 to mtxinu-mach@mtxinu.com. The binary release requires no previousl licenses.
