Re: OSKit and QNX ?

Hi Alastair,

Thanks for the reply -- I have a project that includes porting Kaffe to
QNX.
I downloaded version 1.0.6 from the Kaffe site and followed the install
instructions. Unfortunately, there were some glitches :( As newbies to
OSKit, the glitches in Kaffe install process seem a bit intimidating.
The install creates a QNX directory, but QNX is not one of the o/s's
that the Kaffe site lists as being supported. We got past this with the
--host switch, but still ran into some further bugs (some when sensing
the environment, some when compiling). I tried to obtain some help
through the Kaffe site (hard to find a contact address?), but I have yet
to receive a response.

I am concerned that the OSKit is not installed properly prior to trying
to configure Kaffe. This led me to the OSKit site where I found a
relevant README file:
ftp://flux.cs.utah.edu/flux/oskit/20000901/kaffe/README

I would like to get past the first step in "PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER",
which is to build and install the OSKit.

Any thoughts? (maybe a Kaffe contact? :)

Best Regards,

   Trevor
